Katie Holmes

Poor Katie Holmes, amongst all the things going on in her life, she also quite pear shaped, definitely has a case of long torso and short legs, and the legs themselves are thick and masculine. In her case she really needs to hide a her lower half as much as possible and focus on her slender upper half which is perfectly nice.

Note in the first photo, her legs look longish, it's because of the very high cut bathing suit, and the high heels.

  4. Personally, I still think Katie Holmes has long legs that match up fairly well to her long body/torso. But, the low cut/low rise shorts and body suit (swim suit?) top emphasize her long body to the detriment of her legs. I agree - she is a good looking woman, but pear shaped with heavier legs which probably make them look shorter than they really are.

  5. I just read about a woman who was lamenting her short torso/long legs. A body type similar to Bette Midler for instance. Where the breasts almost seem to start and end where the waist/pants begin. She said that long slender female torsos were frequently objects of art/sculptures in museums and almost all notably sexy Hollywood actresses/stars have that feature. Upon thinking about it, I think that this is true. There's always something good and bad about our bodies all around, don't you think?

  6. My very long torso, which is pear, is considered beauty an desirable.

  7. Katie's legs may be short, but I'd hardly call them "masculine". They are muscular and athletic-looking. I wish that more women would appreciate the look of healthy, strong legs instead of the emaciated toothpicks all the models on the runway walk around on top of.

  8. Her legs didn't used to be thick like this, it's the marathon running she did after childbirth that did it.

  9. She really does have a long torso and short legs - but it is amazing how unnoticeable this is in the swimsuit photo. However her legs are not thick and masculine at all - they are beautifully shaped, athletic and firm. Legs don't have to be extremely skinny to look good and hers are quite slim anyway.

  10. Her legs are not masculine at all. She looks healthy instead of anorexic. Why do people think toothpick legs are pretty?
